I'm new to sky.
I bought a sky streaming puck and connected it to my tv but I just cannot get it to work or even pop up on my tv. I don't have a sky glass, do I need one for a streaming puck?

No the puck works with any TV with a HDMI port. Ensure that all the cables are securely seated and that the TV input is on the correct HDMI port for which the puck connected.
This video describes the process: https://youtu.be/oxVeo8adcnQ?si=RwMmIs-uMvzquXAh
Also to check is the puck powering on? Is there a white light coming on on the front? The remote may have some of the paper tab stuck in it, you will need to take the back off the remote and check. But you can also turn it on, using the button on the bottom of the puck.

Where did you buy a Sky puck from?
You can buy the Sky Stream subscription from Sky BUT Sky Pucks are only loaned😉

A puck supplied by Sky before 23rd February 2023 (roughly the first 16 months after release) can legitimately be sold by its original user. For the first 12 months from October 2021 pucks were only sold alongside Glass television sets, but can be resold seperately.
It just won't do anything for the new owner unless they obtain a Sky content subscription.
