Only moved to Sky Glass/Pucks in the last 3 weeks but they are awful. Everytime i try and play anything it freezes and asked me to wait while it loads. This is happening all the time (roughly every few mins). Then when its frozen for too long it kicks me out and I have to load the programme again (for it to freeze again).
The wifi signal is fine and i upgraded to Fibre at the same time as Sky Glass/pucks.
The only advice ive found is to keep resetting my box and router. Ive been forced to do this several times a day and its getting really annoying now.
This happening on both the Sky Glass tv and the 2 x Pucks i have in other rooms. There are no cordless phones or baby monitors in the rooms.
For the cost of the service I really wish I hadnt bothered. Ive been with Sky for 8 years with relatively little problem until now but this is getting really frustrating and I shouldnt have to reset everything multiple times a day!
Thanks

For some reason, there is never a clear explanation of what consistently solves the freezing/ “please wait while it loads” problem for Sky Glass and Pucks. It’s not just “reset your router”, because that doesn’t fix the underlying issue.
The freezing on Sky Glass and the pucks is almost always caused by the way the devices handle Wi‑Fi, not the broadband connection itself. Even with strong fibre and perfect Wi‑Fi for phones and laptops, the Glass system is extremely sensitive to band switching, interference and firmware glitches. The first fix is to force the pucks (and Glass TV) onto the 5GHz band only, because they perform very poorly on 2.4GHz; this usually means renaming your 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks so you can connect the devices to the faster band manually. It also helps to keep each puck at least a metre away from the Wi‑Fi booster or router, because being too close causes interference that looks like “buffering” or freezing. The next fix is to update the software on the Glass TV and each puck; they often freeze when stuck on older firmware and then do a full power restart after the update. Overheating is another common cause, especially if the puck or Glass TV is inside a cabinet or stacked on other warm devices, so giving them open space and ventilation can stop the constant dropouts. If all of these steps are done and the freezing continues, it’s usually a hardware fault: Sky has had batches of pucks with unstable Wi‑Fi chips, and in those cases the only real fix is getting Sky to replace the puck or the Glass unit.
Hope that helps.

Re: Sky Puck Keeps Glitching and Freezing
Thanks so much for your reply. I separated the wifi bands and that seems to have worked 🤞🏻.
I really appreciate your help!
Thanks again
