Say q to sky stream

Has anyone tried to swap over in mid contract and be charged more monthly and £39.95 for the box?
seems a bit mad to pay more for a lesser service - I'm presuming it's because they know they have me over a barrel sort of speak.
don't guess there is any tips or tricks around this ?

Pricing for Sky Q varies wildly and the same can also happen with Stream.

If you were on a heavily discounted 18 month contract with Q then Stream is likely to cost more unless you can negotiate a discount of some sort.

And the £39.95 is a standard charge for a stream puck. This charge covers things like the cost of the puck, the delivery, the admin fee and the lifetime warranty.

Hi @Laura1701 If you are considering moving to Stream you will need to call Sky in order to switch so you could discuss discounts with them to see if swapping is worth your while.

Make sure you do your homework as Stream is not for everyone and many people wish they had remained with Sky Q.  There is no recording, no +1 channels and a reduced channel list which puts a lot of people off.  I'm happy with stream and wouldn't go back to Sky Q.
