Reset back to UHD
Hello all,
Why do I constantly have to reset the puck back to UHD (2160) several times a day. Can't it just remember my selection.
Thanks

You shouldn't have to do this. It suggests a problem with either your HDMI cable or the HDMI port on either the puck or your TV.
Make sure you are using a high speed HDMI cable of less than 3 metres in length and you have it firmly connected to a high bandwidth enabled HDMI port on your TV, especially if you are using HDR.

Re: Reset back to UHD
Thanks for coming back to me. I am using a high speed HDMI (the one that came with the puck). What differs though is I had to use BlueRigger 4K HDMI CEC Less Adapter because the puck kept jumping in and out of the home cinema connections.

It might have something to do with the BluRigger CEC blocker. I used a Lindy one one my puck as I too had issues with it interfering with my AVR and other devices connected to it, but I never had to reset the video output, it always remained on 2160P.
Is your puck connected to an AVR or soundbar, or is it connected to the TV and audio is passed via ARC/eARC?

Your home theatre is possibly delaying the HDMI handshake too much & the puck is not registering that there is a 4K TV at the end of the chain & is therefore defaulting to HD. Make sure the HDMI cable between the home theatre & the TV is also high speed and that the home theatre unit itself is capable of full 4K passthrough.
