Sky Stream has a known glitch where trying to open age‑restricted content during the day can trigger an automatic PIN lock even if you haven’t entered any numbers. The box pre-loads the PIN check, the app fails to respond quickly, and Sky interprets that as three incorrect attempts. The “try again in 10 minutes” message is misleading because the lock doesn’t clear until the device is fully power‑cycled. In my experience the fix is simply to unplug the Sky Stream puck from the mains, wait about 30 seconds, and plug it back in so it can reboot properly. Once it reloads, the PIN will work again. If you don’t want daytime restrictions at all, you can go into Settings → Parental Controls and switch off “PIN on age‑restricted content,” which stops the issue from happening in the first place.
