Paramount + issues

Im constantly having issues when trying to use paramount plus. It's extremely slow to load, it constantly crashes, or refuses to load at all and at other times when it cuts to adverts I get a green screen where I can hear the dialogue but just see the green screen. This has been going on for months and it only seems to happen while I'm watching through sky stream, if I'm watching on my pc or casting it from my phone (which I've often had to do to finish watching  something) it works perfectly.

 

I always make sure I fully close paramount plus (when I actually can) and I've also made sure that everything is updated and reset the puck multiple times but still keep getting the same issue. Is anyone else having these issues or is there anything I'm missing?

You're not alone—many users report green screen and crashing issues with Paramount+ on Sky Stream, while other devices work fine. This points to a compatibility or decoding issue specific to the Sky puck. Try these steps:

  1. Uninstall and reinstall the Paramount+ app on Sky.
  2. Clear cache/data if the option exists.
  3. Disable HDR in Sky settings (if available)—this can fix green screen artifacts.
  4. Contact Sky support to report the issue—they may offer a firmware update or workaround.

Until resolved, casting from your phone remains the most stable option. Paramount+ is aware of platform-specific bugs. Let me know if you want a direct link to report it.

Hi @KirstyEC I no longer have Sky Cinema and consequently lost me access to the free Paramount + app so I can't give any advice on your queries but I just wanted to say that if you follow the advice from @clark598dahl don't wast time trying to uninstall the app from your puck as this is not possible.  If you have a Smart TV you could delete and reinstall it on the TV.

 

Instead of watching it on Stream have you tried watching from the TV app (same login details as you use for the Sky App) to see if it is any better.  It's a bit of a nuisance which you shouldn't have to do but it's worth a try (I quite often watch things on my apple TV rather than the Sky puck).
