Only one problem after using Stream for two months- PLAYLISTS

It’s puzzling that the only problems I have with “recording” are Sky/Comcast’s own shows.

Last night I added Comcast’s “CNBC Europe Squawk Box” (six half hour slots starting at 6AM) and “Bloomberg Markets Today” (one two-hour show starting at 7AM).

Looking now, none of the CNBC slots are available. Shows from 8Nov to 14Dec are available. Tomorrow’s six slots are shown as “on this week” but I’ll be surprised if they are recorded.

The Bloomberg show is available.

I’ve had the same sort of issues with Sky Sports News’s “The Football Show but Sky News is OK.

It looks as though the process works but is there a problem with some sort of ID flags on the programmes?

Just me?

News shows are always a bit more restricted over what actually becomes available via the playlist.

"News programmes can be added to your Playlist. Sky News, Sky Sports News and CNBC News can all be added. However, some news programmes can only be watched live while they're broadcasting due to licensing restrictions."

@MarkGoldsmith

I don't think licensing restrictions are an issue because I can still see the programmes from November and December. I'd also expect the Bloomberg programme to be more likely to be restricted than the in-house shows. With the Football Show I can see episodes from November but just the first hour which makes me think the next hours are flagged as repeats

As an experiment I added another CNBC show to my playlist. This is available for the last week or so. Six half hour segments each day, although listed in reverse order-oldest first. So I can get the programmme I don't want but not the ones I want. Can somebody from Sky explain?

@MarkGoldsmithThe full quote is "From the Sky website

News programmes can be added to your Playlist. Sky News, Sky Sports News and CNBC News can all be added. However, some news programmes can only be watched live while they're broadcasting due to licensing restrictions.

BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 news programmes are made available for up to 24 hours after the broadcast.

To help you catch up on all the latest news we have a dedicated 'News' category which pulls this all together for you."                              I've added the bold font.

I read that to say that home produced  programmes can be added but there may problems from third party producers, which is what you would expect.  Seems very odd that the streaming systems fails on thier own programmes . If this is the future they need to fix it.

Re: Only one problem after using Stream for two months- PLAYLISTS

Up date: CNBC recordings now working, since the Discovery Plus  factory reset.
Football Show on Sky Sports News is still bad. I can usually record the first part but not the second.

Today it seems to have recorded the first hour but won't let me watch from the start without upgrading my package! Is this becausr the show is also broadcast on a premium channel?

Is it possible to "record" a time slot rather than a named show?

Is it possible to "record" a time slot rather than a named show? Unfortunately not
