No bluetooth audio from Fire Omni QLED with Sky Stream
Grateful for help with this. Just moved house and agreed to switch from Q to Stream after assurances from Sky agents that bluetooth audio lag was no longer an issue with Stream. Don't know about that as I'm unable to get any bluetooth audio output from my Fire Omni QLED set when watching Stream.
Equipment in use: Fire TV Omni QLED 50", Soundcore Q30 headphones, Sky Stream puck (3-weeks old).
Bluetooth output from TV is fine with native sources/apps but as soon as I switch to stream there's no audio.
So far I've tried:
- Switching Stream HDMI audio output to PCM stereo
- Unpairing headphones from only other device they were paired with
- Unpairing and repairing headphones with TV multiple times
- Various combinations of above and switching source to Stream (HDMI1) as soon as headphones connected
Any suggestions gratefully received as I'm starting to lose my sense humour about the issue. Thanks in advance.

Re: No bluetooth audio from Fire Omni QLED with Sky Stream
I had the exact same thing with a Toshiba FireOS TV.
After extensive trialling and swearing, it appears that FireOS is more than capable of transmitting bluetooth, but only for system sounds or apps on FireOS itself. It cannot output HDMI audio output to bluetooth anything. Not just limited to Sky Stream, also cannot make a Mac, Apple TV or DVD player output to bluetooth. No level of PCM, Passthrough, Dolby Atmos on either Sky, Apple or FireOS has ever made it do what I want it to do.
I have raised this with Amazon and been told where to go with it. I won't be buying another Fire TV ever.
Unfortunately this is probably the end of the road. You might be able to get Sky Go on FireOS (i keep mine offline so I'm not sure?) for the shows but won't be the full experience. I believe bluetooth transmitters as products still exist?

Re: No bluetooth audio from Fire Omni QLED with Sky Stream
Thanks for that. Strange thing is that I could get bluetooth out from the same TV with the old SKy Q box but it was the lag that made it unuseable. To not get anything with the Stream puck connected seems strange.

Re: No bluetooth audio from Fire Omni QLED with Sky Stream
This is currently my problem. We have a Toshiba FireTV connected to a Sky Q box. And we use a soundbar for the audio output. For the past year, if I wanted to watch something late at night, I would just connect my bluetooth headphone so that I won't wake up hubby. My bluetooth headphone is connected via AirFly Pro 2 since I use it for travel and I just connect that to the back of the tv, turn off the soundbar and voila I can listen thru my headphone. Now I haven't done this for a few months or so. Tried it now and it doesn't work anymore. I connected my bluetooth headphone directly to tv and it works when I'm on Prime video and the main FireTV home settings, etc. But as soon as I switch to HDMI and watch Sky tv or other streaming apps like Netflix, no sound at all. I tried it on my tablet and my laptop and everything works as it should. It's doing my head in at the moment. I don't know when it stopped working or why.
