No WiFi when turning on the pucks

Hi,

 

every time I switch on both the stream pucks boxes I have I get a no WiFi connection message but I am connected to the internet. After 2 mins I can go to the Home Screen, I have tried the hard reboot but makes no difference.

 

anyone else getting the same message and if so how did you solve it?

They can take a while to establish a connection to the Sky servers. They're not really designed to be turned on and off and the best option is to change your standby settings so that the WiFi network connection is maintained whilst the Pucks are in standby

The other alternative option is to switch from Wifi to ethernet connection, ensuring you disable the wifi in the settings (otherwise it defaults to Wifi).

 

Even with the networked standby mode on, it can still take a while for the network to wake up and reconnect when using Wifi, which isn't an issue when connecting via ethernet.

I have had the picks for nearly a year and this problem has only occurred in the last week, beforehand it all worked fine
