Well with a home move I made the switch from a long standing Q user over to stream. It would have been Glass but sky totally messed up home move and in the between time I decided against sky glass at this time. Low grade specs TV or outdated by a few years at least. So went for Sky Stream. Invested in a new Samsung - and got my puk this week.
Got to say I love it! Set up easy (apart from Roku Sound bar which I finally sorted)
and the system is really smooth. No insane wires or dish on side on my hovel. And I can bascially move the Puk where ever I want as I have really fast gig wifi. Love the play lists. Did think I would miss being able to record but to be honest I have not. Its all there for me when I want it. They chucked in add skipping for a year which is clunky but works "just" ... and the voice search can be a bit off but works fine.
I really like the way all the content is displayed - would be great to customise the home and move stuff around but that wont happen. A few channels I am missing of Sky stream I found on Roku so all good there.
And so far its fast and responsive. No regrets here and this is certainly the way things are going as the Sat dishes as superb as they were (and are still) are slowly fading - you have to deep seach now on Sky.com to find the point of sky q sign up.
As im in the 30 days I was thinking if its bad I will get my dish back - but no complaints at all. Play lists take a bit of getting used to - and it can be clitchy powering up but other than that Sky have really developed a good product with this and it will be interesting how this goes over the next few years. if Sky Glass gets a hardware revamp or upgrade I would consider than but the prices of the TVs overall are way way too high , but I suppose its good for people who need to spread payments.
Anyway im sold on Sky stream it has all I need and more and what it dont have I pick up on Roku ) and one final point it costs me nearly 50% less now for all I get when compared to the Sky Q package I was on.
