New Puck not working

Plug in, sky screen comes up, then black, then off. White light goes off, then back on. TV stays off. Unplug, plug back in same again. 

two pucks doing the same thing. 
factory reset done on one, no difference. 

had set up problem with another one yesterday and spent half an hour on the phone before it got sorted. 

Brand new system, needs to work or an engineer
