NEW REMOTE

I ORDERED A REPLACEMENT REMOTE 5 DAYS AGO, THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE IM PAYING FOR A SERVICE IM NOT GETTING, IVE PHONED ONLY TO BE TOLD IT WOULD BE HERE, THE REMOTE I HAVE HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT TROUBLE SINCE DAY ONE

WHATS GOING ON

Hi @JAN-11 This is a customer forum so no one here will know what is going on.  You will need to phone Sky to find out.  About 3 years ago I had a faulty remote and I had to phone them 4 times before I finally received a replacement.  Each of the first 3 times I was assured one had been dispatched but I never received them.

 

Although I haven't seen it suggested in a long time a trick to getting a faulty remote to work is to hold it at both ends and giving it a gentle twist as though you were wringing out a cloth.  Even though it sounds an unlikely solution it has got many faulty remotes working again in the past (including my own). Whether or not this will work in your case is dependant on the issue with your remote but it's certainly worth a try.

 

If you are lucky enough to still have a Sky Q remote this will work in IR mode (I still use one as a secondary remote).
