Moving away from Sky Glass to Sky Stream

So I've been a SG customer for a little under 18 months and to be honest, it fits my needs fine.  The TV other than the audio though, is not the best, let's be fair.

I'm curious, has anyone moved away from Sky Glass to Sky Stream at all?  There is no outstanding finance on the TV at all etc so that side of things is all good.  I get the pain in the rear end 'Please Wait' message almost every time when turning on and according to Tech Support, a download speed of 68+ Mbps is possibly the issue.

That and I want a nice OLED TV rather than the Hulk that is Sky Glass lol.

That download speed won't be the issue. Are you connected via WiFi as that is likely to be the issue?

Re: Moving away from Sky Glass to Sky Stream

You'd be forgiven for thinking that but I've got a boatload of configurables on my home router even to the degree that the SG is set to the highest priority as part of my QOS settings.

I tried hardlining via Powerline as well but that created some dramas on other networked devices for some reason.  It wouldnt be so bad if I knew what the SG was trying to do that would provoke the message in the first place as I've got the power set to allow downloads etc overnight (or whatever that setting was).

@m1stergeorge Sky Glass and Sky Stream are, in effect, the same thing. It's just that one of them doesn't have a big useless TV built around it. So if your broadband is the issue it shouldn't be any different with Stream.

Re: Moving away from Sky Glass to Sky Stream

I genuinely don't think it's anything to do with my broadband connection.
