Hello. Feeling really frustrated. I signed up for the Sky broadband/streaming package in December 2023. However, as I had just moved and was renovating, only tried to set up my streaming to my tv now. Only to find out that I can't find the Puck and I think the builders may have thrown it out.
I am prepared to buy a new puck but am told instead will have to subscribe to an additional subscription for an extra Puck. As I have a two year contract that will be a minimum total of between £160 - £320 depending on the discount available. And I forsee using it for years to come it will come into hundreds. On top of that I will have to pay for the puck which was lost if I choose to end my subscription.
I have looked into purchasing a second hand puck - but it's hard to tell whether it was purchased by the previous owner or was one of those loaned (this Sky's property) and also the risk it may be damaged,
This does not feel fair and I am prepared to take this further with the press etc. I don't think I am being unreasonable at all.
Thanks,

I'd suggest that you've encountered a situation which the Sky sales and administration system didn't anticipate, and for which there may not be a manual workaround.

Issuing threats of the press are not going to help you in any way, we are customers here.

According to the information Sky supply on their website about lost or stolen pucks you should be entitled to simply cancel your streaming TV subscription or buy a new puck:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/lost-or-stolen-sky-glass
Due to new laws which cover streaming TV subscriptions not fully paid for in advance, you are legally entitled to cancel your subscription with 31 days notice.
