Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
@Deedee36 I have just done this after your post, changed to PCM Stereo.. It has improved it slightly, but it's still out.. I have increased the Digital audio delay HDMI from 0ms through to 200ms, but hardly any change..
Frustrating

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
@Woooster Yes it's annoying when it happens and it appears to happen more to some than others. On the Glass forum where they've had the update people are reporting that it has fixed it so once the pucks are updated hopefully that solves it.
Consider liking this post if it was helpful, or mark as an answer if it solved it for you.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
@Woooster When it happens to me I simply flip to another channel and back again and it has always resolved the lip sync issue. I realise this is only a temporary fix and with some people this only works for a few minutes before it goes out of sync again but in my case it to last for a few days.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
Hi all,
Hope everyones doing fine. I haven't noticed the lip sync for a few days now but still on q34 it's a new record btw. My set top box restarted by itself which was annoying watching me soaps but it hasn't done the lip sync issue since. Apps seem to load up quicker which was minor issue of mine before. Something's happened cause it's zippier never been before.
Has anyone else's box done this before.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
Anyone hoping that the new firmware release might have fixed the lip sync issue on glass is out of luck.
Was watching the Sprint Race, as soon as the race finished and race interviews started, it was clear the audio was ahead of the video.
Absolute joke, to put the prices up by almost £10 a month and still have these issues many months after the problem started.
I'm currently running Version QS035.010.00P

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
Just signed up for Sky using the Stream and watching F1 I'm getting sync issues on live commentary and interviews. Seems like they are ahead about 1 second of the picture.
I've got a Sonos Arc soundbar and don't have issues with my Apple TV or in-built apps. I also don't have issues with Sky box sets only with F1.
Sort of a fix is to rewind a bit and fast forward and seems to help but it's a bit bad for Sky who own the puck and the software and the stream and they can't fix this.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
Had it during TNT rugby this weekend. Ref mic was 2-3 seconds ahead of the game. Turned off lipsynch management in my Denon AVR and that seems to have fixed it.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
I have noticed that when watching stream my TV info says 4k 50hz.
But when I have trouble with lip sync it changes to 4k 59.97.
A reboot takes it back to 50hz. Could this be the bug that's causing all the issues??

Do you have judder reduction for apps turned on? That changes the output of the puck from 50 to 60Hz but should only affect the apps, not the live streams... unless it's not reverting back to 50Hz for the live channel streams?

Puck crashes when on Sky F1 UHD and is 5 secs out of sync!
Now that F1 has started, I have found that the puck is managing to put the sound out of sync by a massive 5 seconds on SkyF1 UHD. This is Ch 406. If I then go to the SD version on Ch 902 it is back in sync. Then sometimes, when I go back to Ch 406 it is stays in sync! Frustrating to say the least and not fit for purpose!
If I pause the progamme, often it crashes the puck and I get the blue screen of death! Something is seriously wrong with either my puck or the software that's in it. By the way it is up to date with that!
I see no reason why I should pay a lot of money for a service that is sub par.
I have Sky Full Fibre 300 broadband fed to the puck via Ethernet, so there should be no issues there.
Is there a known issue witrh the puck on UHD programmes? If so are Sky doing something about it? If it is my puck, how do I get them to send me a replacement?

Yes lip sync a known issue see: https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-Stream/Lip-Sync-issues-Sky-Stream/m-p/4607728#M21790
To get a replacement you will need to call Sky. We are fellow subscribers here on the community.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
Thanks Mike.
I wonder how they queue the roll out?
I also wonder about the puck crashing when pausing SkyF1 UHD, and whether that problem is included in the roll out fix?
