Re: Eastenders is out of sinc

@Jonathanphillip Until an update comes that fixes this, simply going up a channel and then back to the one you watched tends to temporarily solve it with less fuss than a restart.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

We have had lip synch issue with Sky Stream for over a year and after many communications with Sky have now been advised by Sky that the best thing would be  to terminate our contract,  accept  £25 compensation and basically sod off - although they put it more politely .  Basically our Sky stream is not fit for purpose - has anyone out there reported Sky to an appropriate ombudsman ( if there is one ) or to an appropriate standards agency?

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

I was considering exploring another route to get money, as I've paid for 5 months (perhaps not huge amounts) but even so. Sky as far as I am concerned have acknowledged there is an issue and will not refund for a service which does not work. A not fit for purpose product has been released.

The roll out of new software is still not complete for Sky Stream customers like myself.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

@charliedawg it's not expected to roll out fully until 25th March and that date might move, so hold tight for that.

@charliedawg I and many others agree with your comment about the sky stream product. It needs a major update for it to work correctly. It doesn't help that some folks keep saying it's not the puck and it's something else outside of Sky

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

Hi all,

Hope everybodys ok, My lip sync issue isn't that bigger deal because just changing channel up then down solves it like most. It's taking sky a long time to fix this which to me says there's a third party involved eg internet distribution provider. Myself unfortunately can only have sky as virgin TV or EE TV are not an option I can take and I love me sport. I could go on now tv but streaming on now tv is terrible for me. Hopefully the third party can fix it if this is the case. I've checked my internet with my routers performance monitor feature and can't see where it's lagging at all.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

@Skyman89 Nothing to do with your internet provider. I am a Sky fibre customer and the lip sync issues were present from day one along with other problems. No such problems exist with my Apple TV or my TV's apps. As far as Sky's performance with the fibre broadband I'm more than happy.

Don't be fobbed off with Sky stating it's a provider problem. They have blamed my AVR for the lip sync and Atmos problems and my TV for the lack of HDR. All of which work perfectly when using the ATV or my Pioneer LX500 4K player.
