@Bikergaz I have also been a Sky subscriber for more than 25 years but unfortunately it has no bearing on the lip sync issue. As annoying as it maybe we have to wait for Sky to find a suitable solution that works. There is nothing I or anyone else can do on this forum that will speed things along.

There is. Cancel your subscription. Sky are just taking the ****. They'll promise jam tomorrow but tomorrow never comes. Guarantee they'll increase subscriptions knowing full well that they have dodgy products. Would you have kept any other product that was this poor and unreliable or would you have returned it for a refund.

Personally I love the product and am happy to put up with a little lip sync whilst they find a permanent solution. The temporary fix takes 2 seconds so I don't let it spoil my day. There are more important things in my life than worrying about my TV.

Disaster struck last night with awful lip sync issues

@Fothergill1 yes it did by we should not have to do this and Sky should be fixing all the many issues out and definitely should be refunding all customers till everything is fixed. Maybe then they will fix everything

I am generally very satified with Sky Stream to be honest, the sync issue is a pain in the **bleep** but easy to fix
I did notice today on HGTV everything was in sync until the add break (which was 3 sec out 🤣)
My image breakup issues and black screens semms to have gone gor now, the ITV app sucks but that's not Sky's fault
I certainly think that Sky could give free Ad skipping for a year or access to a paid channel for a year as a thank you
for beta testing Sky Stream for them and putting up with the ongoing issues that's hitting many
Cancelling the service would certainly be throwing out the baby with the bathwater as far as I'm concerned, I will be leaving Sky boradband
for Community Fiber 7x the speed up and down for half the price, sign me up

@Super+Anthony I fully agree that one should not have to self correct the lip sync but unfortunately that is the reality of the current situation until Sky can find a solution.
As far as compensation goes although I would willingly take it if offered I don't believe it is a practical consideration. How would Sky know which subscribers have been having this issue and which have not? Unfortunately they could not take peoples word for it as there are too many unscrupulous people who would claim to have the issue just to qualify for the compensation.

Valid points @Bluegiraffe i think we deserve something with all the aggro, though I still do like stream and would not go back

This is starting to drive us mad. I have had my puck since November and we are constantly resetting it to overcome the sync issues. We don't get it with any other service, ie Prime, Netflix etc, only Sky. We have tried all the technical fixes people and sky have suggested but nothing works. The fact it can be fine for a while and then suddenly just go out of sync makes me think this is an issue with the puck rather than with my TV setup. If it isn't fix we will be cancelling when our contract runs out.

Spot on @GlynMac so many issues that are intermittent

Hi @Super+Anthony Sky would only consider customers who have reported faults to Sky, if a customer doesn't report their faults then you don't have a problem as far as Sky is concerned and wouldn't be considered for compensation. Using Community does not report faults its just a forum for customers. I am amazed however with so many complaints the press have not picked up on this.

Just received my Sky Stream pucks after transferring from Q - lip sync is a major problem immediately for me - very intermittant between apps and 'live' streamed tv channels - and different delays too - so using audio delay in settings isn't feasible ... puck updated to 'latest' software on installation (QS034.023.02P)

I've just complained to Sky via email so we'll see what they say. Probably everything you have all said but at least it's on record.

@BC1956 You so right, several people have voiced their concerns (repeatedly as well) and there is not much more customers like me can do. The ownership is fully with Sky to sort the many issues with the puck and not being fit for purpose in its current state and not blame it on our ISP and networks
