Slow to change channel and out of sync
I have a similar issue to this thread, although 90% of the time the first time I select a channel its out of sync with the audio by 2+ seconds. This then requires i have to switch up a channel and then back down. This rectifies it but obviously im now a minute or 2 in before ive actually managed to just turn the tv on.
Not sure if this is relevant by ive had map-t disabled as i have a unifi router. Using sky fibre as well. Its not a bandwidth or latency issue so im curious what this backend fix is on this thread to resolve .
can an engineer please get in touch regarding this. Thanks!

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
I've recently joined Stream and my software is the one identified below. I've had issues with lip sync since I started more noticeable during live sport - tried all sorts of change re settings with no luck.
anyone else?

Unfortunately lip sync can still be distinctly random for some customers using Sky Stream. Sky claim they are still working on a fix but we have no idea if it is possible with software or whether it's a hardware problem.
Not everyone appears to be affected by it, so it seems isolated to certain hardware combinations, network conditions and random unluckiness.
It can sometimes be temporarily fixed by changing channels and back again, but this isn't ideal, especially if using 'watch from start'.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
I watched something on BBC iplayer last night with no issues at all. No adverts on there of course but it moved to the next 2 episodes of the series with no issues.

Re: When watching programmes on Sky Stream the sound is out of sync with the picture.
I'm intrigued that a booster solution has been offered to you but not to others. I constantly have to restart puck and vary between pass through and PCM. To be honest I am vey disappointed and dissatisfied that this is clearly a cost avoidance by Sky. I'm paying in excess of £100 pm and constantly have to adjust, reset or simply put up with the poor service. Issue is constant. Can a Sky CS resolve and satisfy my issues please? Russ

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
Signed up last week. Anything that uses Dolby Atmos i.e live Sky Channels, any Sky on Demand video from any of their own channels is way out of sync. Given that they are charging £6 a month for Dolby Atmos and UHD, and their workaround is to disable the Dolby Atmos which they are charging extra for, I encourage everybody to call Sky and demand refunds for that service.
Sky can't be charging people for Dolby Atmos if it doesnt work.
Anything which isnt a Sky Channel (and therefore no Dolby Atmos) works fine.

I asked for a refund because of the Atmos problem. Refused. Ended subscription, pointless over paying for a service that is sub par and calling it sub par is a kindness.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
@redin63 Yes, unfortunately the fix in the latest update didn't work as well as anticipated so Sky are still working on it. Let's hope they find a permanent solution soon but at least the quick temporary fix still works.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
I've finally setup my Sky Stream Puck at my new flat with new Sky superfast installed. Been a big few weeks home move and nice to get my tv back on. Pleased to say that as before i'm not experiencing any lip sync issues with my Home AV setup. I was a little worried as I had to drop down from Sky Ultrafast to Sky Superfast as that's the max available in my new area, which is about half the speed, but all ok.
Sorry to see others still having issues. Hopefully new software updates will resolve.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
Just adding that I'm still having this issue too - already done the sound setting "fix" which hasn't. Only the switch back and forth work temporarily. Very frustrating!

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
I have had Sky Stream for just over a week and watching the darts in UHD tonight and the lip sync is way out. Even switching the audio to PCM never woked.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
Hi @TRINANN Whilst Sky try to find a solution a quick way to get it back in sync is simply to flip to another channel and back again. Although I don't get many lip sync issues when I do this works for me every time.
