Linked account issue - Returning Sky customer, now stream can’t activate

Had to raise a complaint today.

I'm a returning Sky customer and have been sold new internet and Sky stream paid for extra box and I can't logon to any apps or watch the tv. 
called customer services and I am shocked that because the agent has registered my account with MY email that ita conflicting with my NEW account and I'm stuck..... don't know if they can fix, how long it will take, and when they sort it I'll receive a call back. 
Ridiculous process if a customer is returning, and you take my email is that not the first thing you do remove it from the closed account and put it with my new one??    No one get caught in this trap I've been on the phone 3 time and told 3 different things......
