LG C5 - Program Sky Stream Remote
Hi Everyone
Has anyone been able to program the Stream remote successfully for the new LG C5 TVs yet?.
I have got the LG Universal remote working and does some of the controls, but it would be nice to get the stream remote working with volume etc.
As this is a new TV I have assumed that I need to wait until sky update the puck to support this TV. Is this correct?.
Thanks
Ceri

Re: LG C5 - Program Sky Stream Remote
Yes, mine worked first time a month or so ago when I got a C5 to replace my older Samsung TV.

Re: LG C5 - Program Sky Stream Remote
Thanks
I have tried reprogramming the remote but none of the 24 options and 12 odd additional ones work.
Also tried resetting the remote but that didnt work either.
Maybe I have a faulty remote?
Thanks

Re: LG C5 - Program Sky Stream Remote
I did not need to do this.
But for some LG TVs that had problems, Sky suggested this;

Thanks for your help.
I have tried the reprogramming but none of the 24 options allow volume control to work.
I cant find the c5 listed in the model numbers and the additional 15 options dont work either..

Re: LG C5 - Program Sky Stream Remote
Can you try this.
Remove power from TV for ten minutes.
Leave Sky Stream on standby.
Re pair your Sky Stream remote, making sure when doing the hold 7 and 9 together for 3 seconds or longer, make sure you are doing that away from your Sky Stream box, not line of sight.
Then point the Sky Stream remote at the Sky Stream box, press 1 and 3 together for 3 seconds or more, then following the on screen instructions.
At the point it says connect your TV, only do a find it for me.
Do it or ignore it and then on your Sky Stream settings, whether it works or not.
Go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates
Select Restart device
Your Sky Stream puck will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete.
Leave the Sky Stream box on a live channel for a good ten minutes.
Then,
Go to the Sky Stream settings>Connected devices>Sky remote and follow the procedure for adding your TV.
Try find it for me first or try the above procedure again and choose LG, no need for a precise model number.

Re: LG C5 - Program Sky Stream Remote
Many thanks for your help.
I have tried this but unfortunately it hasnt worked, I still cant get a setting that detects the volume control.
I have ordered a new remote to see if that helps.
Any other ideas?, I suppose the puck might be faulty?
Thanks

Re: LG C5 - Program Sky Stream Remote
one more thing to try is toggle off/ on HDMI CEC in the Sky Stream puck settings and in the LG a settings menu.
Not sure what else to suggest.
Im assuming your Sky Stream remote is controlling the Sky Stream box ok, powering the Sky Stream box on and off and allowing voice options?
A new remote may help, but think it's more your TV not handshaking completely with the Sky Stream puck.
You can use the LG remote to control the Sky Stream box to some extent.
Use the LG remote backup key like the backup key on the Sky Stream and select home and power listed under the ... LG remote button.
Channel up/down and number selection for channels
You will need the Sky Stream remote though for voice options.
