There are a few things to try:
- Change the batteries. Low battery power can cause the remote to behave erratically and inconsistently.
- if the remote is new, check that there isn't a scrap of paper left between the batteries and the battery terminals.
- if your remote is new and you e come from Sky W, the Sky Stream remote is very much button based and doesn't respond the thumb swipes (despite the two remotes looking superficially similar.
- On YouTube on a phone or similar search 'Using the remote Sky Stream'. It's a short 2 min Sky produced video going through how to navigate the Dky Stream interface using the remote (apologies if this is teaching granny to suck eggs!)
- Try resetting your Sky Stream remote as follows "hold down 7 and 9 together for 3 seconds. Then, press and hold 1 and 3 together for 3 seconds to re-pair it."
If none of the above work, you'll need to call sky to ask them to replace your remote.
