How do you raise a development request?

Bore da (morning) everyone,

Just upgraded to Sky Stream from Q and the remote does not know the exact model of my TV. I can get the remote to turn off the TV but it does not turn my amp off.

My Sky Q remote does as does the TV remote so it's something Stream is not issuing before shutting the TV down.

I've tried all the options including telling it the TV type (Toshiba) but it doesn't know the model.

Is there a form or route to request Sky to add the model to their remote? They used to add them frequently back in the early days but not sure about now.

The TV is a 55QF3D53DB btw.

Re: How do you raise a development request?

Hi @Forestwalker, there's no official mechanism to request features like this except maybe sharing it here as you have might be noticed and passed on.

SkyOS is a multinational effort now and is the Sky branding of Comcast's EntertainmentOS. Whilst quite a lot still happens in the UK much of it is now done by the global Comcast team and it powers lots of providers systems, so Sky isn't fully in the driving seat with how it develops so I think that's why it's not particularly open.

In the meantime, regarding the remote setup for your TV, Toshiba TVs are a badge of Vestel these days. They also make the Hitachi, Polaroid, JVC, Bush and Alba TVs and there's a pretty high chance one of those TV makes configs on Sky would work with your TV but you'll have to sit and explore. Let us know if you make it work!
