HELP NEEDED
I am having really bad trouble reseting my sky stream, I have tried all the tricks and hints on the internet, but it gets stuck at "updating software" have been trying for some time now and getting no where can anyone offer some help

Not sure what you mean by resetting your Sky Stream puck.
If you mean a factory reset from the settings.
It is not advised to do a factory reset, unless Sky have advised you to or you are on a call or chat with Sky while doing so.
It can cause account issues, that only Sky can sort out.
Would be best if that is the case to contact Sky.
You could try the recovery step on step 4 of this Sky help article;
Sky Stream with two pucks via wifi (former Sky Q and Sky+ customer).
