@MarkGoldsmith The app crashed for me just before the Gabriel Jesus goal on 45' during the Arsenal game after I rebooted the puck, it was showing the replays.
It worked for a few minutes more and then during halftime, I left the room for a bit and when I came back, there was an "Unknown error" screen on.
I rebooted the puck again and every time I tried to load the Arsenal game, I got the "HDMI error" screen.
It was at this point I got annoyed and got the game on my laptop and plugged it in to the TV using the exact same HDMI cable that the Sky Puck was using and it worked just fine for the rest of the evening.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAs mine crashed 40 mins in, and i realised something was odd as the wolves games was working, i just used my ipad for the last few minutes of the second half and then rebooted my puck during half time to see if that would fix it.
Such an odd thing to happen, clearly something related to the way Amazon are streaming it that the Glass/Stream doesn't like which is causing it to crash. Which is rather stupid as you would expect a streaming device that is compatiable and supports use of the Primve Video App to just bloody work on live sports streams, particularly when it seems the issue only affects the Sky Streaming products.

@MarkGoldsmith App refresh worked. Thank you 😊

Same error message as last night when I had watched Arsenal from beginning, this time it came up with the error message after 15 minutes. Yes I can watch Prime on my tablet or via Samsung TV but for a box that promises to bring all your programmes into one place its really poor - especially with an error message that doesn't reflect the problem

I have had the same issue tonight watching every game every goal .it got to about the 10th minute and I get the same problem as last night ...this is not good enough

Same for me again. This time just as the teams were coming onto the pitch. It's a bit like the old picture scrambling but this time with the hdmi problem card being used instead. I wonder if there's a problem with viewing permissions. I had to log in twice before I could use it - same as last night. Sticking with Apple TV - its working fine on that. Agree it is disappointing.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSky need to report this to Amazon but whether Amazon will actually do anything to fix it I'm not sure.
if they had live sport constantly that would get this many viewers I think they would care about fixing the app but the fact it's only 2 match days a season and from the next rights they have zero football (and it only affects Sky customers) I can't really see Amazon even trying to fix it.
hope I'm very wrong though.

I had this issue - HDMI Connection error - about 7.45pm on Sheff Utd v. Liverpool game watching Prime via Sky Puck. Every other game Amazon is showing live worked fine!!! Ending up having to unplug puck for a few mins and so far so good 🤞 but annoying to say the least.

Just happened on the Liverpool game

well that didn't last long - gone to the adverts and lost it again although different error this time "Something went wrong". Click OK and try again and back to "HDMI Connection" issue. Bizarrely can reply highlights and bonus clips but not resume game. C'mon Sky...........................

While watching the football on Prime tonight via Sky Stream, we keep getting the message 'HDMI Connection' there's a problem with the connection of your tv. Try using a different HDMI cable. For more help go to Amazon.co.uk/videohelp.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreQuite a few reports on the Amazon forums of this issue affecting only the live football streams.
Seems the HDR version is not showing up on Sky too.

If the third party app, sits within sky platform and is embedded, it is much as Skys responsibility to ensure the app works and works properly as it Skys.
