HBO Max query

I have HBO Max with ads now included in my Sky Ultimate TV subscription. 

Will I be able to watcht eh Champions League final, or is that a 'pay for view' programme for which I'd have to pay an additional fee?

To watch TNT Sports you need a TNT Sports subscription, which is around £30 per month.

Neither. Sports content is not included in the minimum 'free' tier, and the match is not PPV: as @oj01 indicates, a subscription is required.

I'd keep an eye it  The final has been free to air in the past on various platforms. It depends what HBO decide to do this year.

Hi. So the match WAS available to me. Was it a late change in HBO's policy to electors?

The Euro finals were only available to those people that had an HBO subscription of some sort. Not free to air as it has been in the past.

The change for the three matches was announced a few days before the Europa League final.

Edit: the announcement was in this story on May 15th (so five days ahead of that match and two weeks after your initial post)

Sky finally pinned a message at the top of the relevant television forums on Tuesday this week, the day before the second match.
