Formula 1 on Stream

Hi,

I am new to Sky Stream.  I am generally loving it as it as given me UHD on my second box also when Sky Q on a mini box was only HD.  So being the first F1 race of the year that started broadcasting at 2.30am i was planning to get up and watch this morning around 8am.  I added the rce coverage and the race into my playlist.  I have however spent half the morning and caught various stages of the race half way though and then the winner on someones shoulders to perfectly ruin the whole experience.  I just cannot work this out.  The catch up when it says play from the start is 36 laps into the race on UHD.  The preamble shows 10 minutes of Ted's programme and then the rest isnt the pre race coverage.  Either i am just not understanding how Stream works or the thing is up the creek!

I was under the impression that is a programme has already aired be it live or not then you can just go in to watch it from the beginning!?  Is this not the case.  This is a disaster!

Any advice greatly rceived

Thanks

Re: Formula 1 on Stream

That's sort of how it's supposed to work.
if you add the broadcast to your playlist beforehand it will work more of the time, but really Sky Stream is only any good for F1 if you either watch live or a couple of days later, I think it takes until Monday morning before they get into the office to fix all of the missing broadcasts from the weekend.

Re: Formula 1 on Stream

So basically Sky Q is/was much better for this as I could record it and just watch it whenever!

that's a bit ridiculous

I rarely watch it live, I like to skip if things are boring etc

crazy for £22 or whatever it is a month

Essentially, yes, but the era of satellite television is coming to an end.

Re: Formula 1 on Stream

@Nickbish355 I watched this mornings race after the race had finished. Basically, I've got the whole season added to my planner so at 5:45-ish I just selected the tile for the race from my planner and it played immediately.

The Pre-Race show is added as a different program and then you have the actual Race Broadcast and Post Race shows.

There's no need to go to the F1 channel, just pick what you want to watch from the planner.

I've been doing this for over 2 years and haven't had an issue.

Yesterday during qualifying, I jumped in after Qualifying had started so then it was go to SS F1 channel and then select Watch from Start.

Just to echo @Nigelb1972 experience. I did something similar, i started watching from about 7am this morning and had the "Live F1" programme on my playlist and the pre-race buildup, and race were available on my playlist ( and played with no issues) at that time.
