Do I need the Sky Go app with Sky Stream?

I have just take delivery of Sky Stream having SkyQ previously. As I am now unable to record programmes using the Sky Go app on my iPad, do I need the Sky Go app any more. Apart from listing tv programmes, it seems to me that it now has no other function. If I am missing something and there is a way I can link the Sky Stream to the Sky Go app, I would be pleased to hear of it. Thanks.

There is no integration with Sky Go and Sky Stream.

Sky Go can only be used for watching Sky content on the go when outside your home.

Go has no crossover with Stream: it acts as an entirely independent streaming app.
