Discovery +

Can't access Discovery +. I click on the app but when I try to watch the cycling it says I need to update my passes and retry. It's included in my Sky package so don't understand why I can't access it.

@FC58 Although Discovery + is part of the Sky package you still have to register.  If you moved from Sky Q to Stream any existing Marketplace subscriptions are cancelled so you have to re-register as per THIS  link.

You should be able to register (or re-register as the case may be) as follows:

Go to the bottom of the home page and select the following in this order: MySky / your products / (enter your PIN) / App Subscriptions

Select App subscriptions / Current / and then Discovery + Monthly.  Hopefully it will say £0 per month whilst you have a Sky TV subscription.  If so select Activate subscription.

You can also find further information at THIS link.

Good luck 🤞

Re: Discovery +

Thanks for your suggestion. However, we have been watching cycling on Discovery + for a year. Been away for a couple of weeks and now we can't access it. I've tried all sorts of things but still no joy. Looks like I'm ringing them again today. I'm not happy 😡

Occasionally the Discovery+ app logs you out if you haven't used it for a while, does it on EETV as well. So you will have to activate your device again. Usually with the QR code, bit of a pain I know.

Yes @Bill051 , very disappointing.  I was planning to just watch on ITV instead of Eurosport but I have seen an article that cycling will no longer be broadcast on ITV after 2025.  However I believe Warner Brothers are negotiating with some other channel for free to air broadcasting 🤞

@Fothergill1

" TNT Sports is promising includes a new weekly cycling show on its free channel Quest. 'The Ultimate Cycling Show' will be hosted by Orla Chennaoui and Adam Blythe and launches on February 27th, promising to cover "key parts of the season" and editorially "designed to cater to the seasoned fan, plus attract and engage new audiences".

TNT Sports has also promised an "increase in free-to-air highlights across men's and women's major races" in 2025"

Many thanks @TimmyBGood That's great news.  I have followed the Tour de France since the mid 1960s and was devastated when Tom Simpson died during the 1967 tour.  I did some cycle racing myself as a kid winning my club under 16 championship but that stopped when I discovered girls, booze and cars 🤣

TdF coverage is specifically referred to here (along with some very suspect guff from a WBD spokesdroid ; )

https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/no-free-to-air-live-coverage-of-tour-de-france-in-uk-from-2026

" Although there will be no free live coverage of the race, highlights will be made available on Quest, one of WBD’s free-to-air channels. "
