Continue Watching fixed?

Hey all

We had stream a while back and had to send it back and swap back to Q because the system was poor

Main issue was continue watching... either it didn't track properly, wouldn't get rid of shows, or couldn't track in some apps (Disney+ never got tracked)

Have these been fixed?

We're in last 2 weeks of contract cancellation for Q and wondering if now is the time to move back to Stream as they keep plugging offers for it

If not, we may end up using it for just essentials and then an Apple TV for other content but curious to see if any progress has been made with getting it working

Re: Continue Watching fixed?

Disney still doesn't track. All others seem to just fine, was a small issue with Apple TV+ but that has since been fixed. I use Prime, Netflix, Apple TV+ and also the Catch Up TV apps and they all track in Playlist.

Re: Continue Watching fixed?

Any issues with shows disappearing randomly or that fixed now too?

Re: Continue Watching fixed?

I can't say I have noticed that. I have only had Stream for a few months though.

Re: Continue Watching fixed?

The latest software update seems to have fixed a lot of those niggling problems with the system and although I have only had the update for about a week, it seems much better.

Hi @theskyisblue15 The CW rail does track the programmes but the blue progress bar only stays in place for a couple of weeks.  This means that if you go back to a series after a few weeks you have no idea where you have got to in the series unless you can identify it from the small programme synopsis.

My biggest issue with the CW Rail is the lack of a delete button and trying to remove unwanted programmes.  Nothing has improved in this regard in the last 3 years.

The CW rail still doesn't include Disney + programmes which is a shame as we watch quite a lot through this App.

Re: Continue Watching fixed?

@Fothergill1 Yeah I tend to just ignore continue watching on Sky, which is unfortunate because the idea of it is great but the execution is annoyingly basic and broadly inaccurate... I have a bunch of shows I tried for maybe 15m clogging up the list. I tend to go straight to playlist, which bumps latest shows to the top for convenience.

I do find the Apple TV equivalent of it superior, where you can freely remove shows and mark them as watched and I hope a future update mimics this a bit. They also seem to remember your progress indefinitely, which would be great to see in future on Sky too.

Same. I gave up on it months ago because it was unreliable. If it has improved I may give it another go.

@Anonymous and @Mark39 I am a glutton for punishment and still persevere wither CW rail.  To remove an unwanted programme can on occasions be a battle of wits between me and the Stream puck but I usually manage it.  On the occasions I have to admit defeat I just leave it to get to the end of the rail where it will fall off if I have more than 20 items on rail.  Failing this they will usually disappear after a couple of months.

To avoid some of the frustration I do tend to  watch more on my Apple TV than previously as I know I can delete the programme if I decide I don't want to watch it any more.  If I decide I want to continue watching it I will then watch the subsequent episodes on my Stream puck.
