There are no 'best' settings because everybody has different opinions of what the 'best' picture quality is. Everyone has different light levels in their TV room too so some may want the picture darker, others may want it brighter. 

The best option is to fiddle with the settings until you get it looking the 'best' for you and your own room.

Yep exactly that @BenJoBanjo. The best settings are ultimately which ones you enjoy looking at most. People often over-think this and get caught up over what it should look like or what the director intended etc. but ultimately if you don't like that look it's not the best look for you.

Have a play, and find something you like 🙂
