Chinese Sprint qual NO UHD!

Well more disappointment with F1 on stream! Just watched the live Sprint qualifying on the F1 UHD channel and it's a HD broadcast,  I'm paying extra for UHD on a dedicated UHD channel and Sky don't broadcast it.

This is my first season watching F1 via stream and after the farce of last weekend with catchup streams not appearing  despite adding them to my playlist and finding the qualifying result before playing it while looking for the cloud recording now this.

Don't get me wrong at least i got to watch it but it gets you thinking why am I paying extra for UHD in 2026 when Sky can't keep their end of the deal and broadcast an UHD signal on their dedicated UHD F1 channel.

It looked UHD to me.

Most definitely wasn't for me, you could clearly tell by eye, there was no UHD watermark in the top right and my TV tells me if it's displaying a 4k UHD/HDR signal.

Funnily enough if I now look at the cloud recording that is UHD, so why watching live was HD only on the UHD channel i have no idea but if this is what's going to happen come the European rounds where I usually watch them all live I'm not going to be happy,  I'll see what happens tomorrow,  watch this space.

It was most certainly in UHD for me.
