Black screen on Netflix

If my pouch has been off for several hours when I turn it on and try to watch Netflix I get a black screen. I can get round the problem by going to settings/system management/ refresh and update apps. I shouldn't have to do this on a daily basis. I have phoned Sky who were aware of the issue. They suggested I set my broadband connection to Ethernet as opposed to WiFi but that has made no difference. Any suggestions?
