And sometimes Channel 4 will randomly start playing the same episode again if you don't deliberately quit it, which is a bit confusing when it happens! Although I've not seen that particular one for a few weeks so that is hopefully solved now.

Re: BBC and ITV pixelated after using apps!
Thanks, I was having a similar issue with pixelation after viewing Discovery + and your suggestion seems to have worked. 👍

Having the same issue with pixilation and BBC1 going off.
I now realise that's it's the Discovery+ App issue. Thanks for all your comments

Re: BBC and ITV pixelated after using apps!
Looking back over some of the older Sky Stream posts in the community and it's apparent that this has been a known issue for a long time (years not months)! Frustratingly, sky tech support are not interested in solving tech problems, they appear to be only trained in following the "flow charts" and there also doesn't appear to be any method of getting the information to the developers.
This Sky Community looks like it's been providing years of free "Beta Testing" for Sky. It's done a fantastic job and has come up with some great "work-around" fixes and methods of navigating Sky Stream. However, if you put yourself in the shoes of the new customer and basic users, they keep hitting the same old problems everyday! Surely sky should be utilising this information quicker. How many years does it take to write a piece of code that stops the app running in the background when you press the home key?
Do any Sky employees (who are empowered to take ideas forward), ever monitor these communities?

To be fair, it can be useful to have the Discovery+ stream still playing in the background. While watching something through the app, you can pop back to the home screen at any time, and with the stream still playing in the background, just pop back to what you were watching without any fuss.

Re: BBC and ITV pixelated after using apps!
Agreed, it would be great if it didn't interfere with other channels when you flick between them. It's unclear why it causes pixelated images on other channels when it's left running in the background. Particularly as I have a good solid fibre connection (vodaphone 900+) that can easily cope with multiple streaming? It's very frustrating when it happens and appears to be a well known issue.

I have the same problem with sky channels pixilating after leaving apps like discovery, netflix and Prime. Unplugging the puck does fix it, but its annoying.
