Apps NEVER work properly

I'm having so many issues with both of our Sky pucks. Prime video buffers and stops every 30 to 40 seconds (our speeds are roughly 250mbps) so it's not an issue with internet speeds. Netflix is pixelated and I have to restart our puck mode than twice a day. I was watching sky Atlantic and was like watching TV static. Sky needs to give answers, as currently the package I took out isn't working properly.

@Sam090994  Your posr has been moved from the Sky Go board as your issue has nothing to do with the Sky Go app.  You have Sky stream.

Sky won't respond to a community post.

Your broadband speed  to the hub is fine but have checked  the speed the puck are getting to do this  open Netflix go to help open that and go to  check my network and run that, and  it could  be  a poor wifi signal if you can connect using  an ethernet cable it is more stable, also the minimum speed for a puck is 25mps and the maximum is 35mps  but I would  say the more the better, and also the more devices that you have connected the weaker the signal is to each one and if you  live in an old house with brick interior  walls can effect the  signal to

Re: Apps NEVER work properly

@Sam090994   Sky Stream doesn't just rely on a fast internet speed.  If you are not connected from your router to the puck with an Ethernet cable does your router have an uninterrupted line of sight to your puck and do both have any objects touching them or very close and finally is the router near a window or mirror?  All these things can cause the things you describe even with the highest of internet speeds.

Having a good local network broadband reach is key to Sky Stream.
Not just broadband speed to your house and router, but for your local network supply via wifi or ethernet, that can be affected in a busy household.

In your case you may have 250Mbps to your router, but your Sky box may not receiving enough local network speed.

Sky recommended minimum broadband speed is 25Mbps.
Or 30Mbps if you add an extra Sky Stream puck or watch in UHD.

Plus, using the Sky Sports live sync adds a few more Mbps per puck.

Best way to test is via a network speed test on each of your Pucks.
Launch Netflix on your pucks (you do not need to be logged into it, if you do not use netflix) and scroll down the left menu to Get help.
Choose Check Network.
Would suggest running the test a few times, over say a half hour period during tests.
What is your speed for each puck?

Also, it may be suffering from interference, the puck much like a Sky Q box can for some customers suffer from this at times. More often seen as an intermittent blip.
Not always a cure, but the following may help to resolve;
Make sure you have a good 6-8 inches free on all sides of the puck.
Do not stack the puck on top of any other device.
Best not to sit it on a glass shelf. Wood is generally the best.
Make sure the puck is in the open, not tucked away in a cabinet or sat directly behind the TV.
Make sure you have no other devices that can cause interference closeby, like cordless phones, radiators, baby monitors, smart meter in home displays, microwaves and the like.
You should be using the Sky supplied hdmi cable or a high speed equivalent one.

Plus, change both your pucks to following recommended settings set in Settings>
Turn wifi OFF under Network if connected via ethernet.
Set Network standby mode to ON and Overnight power saving to OFF.
