Plus Sky injects specific adverts to particular viewers, so it's quite possible that some households see them and others don't even in the same content.

When sky glass first launched there were no adverts with no need to skip, free for first year. Then you had to pay for the privilege but they've changed their model and now you pay to skip!

That's incorrect: Ad Skipping has always been a thing.

The volume of advertising in on-demand content has historically been variable though, as Sky experiments with personalised targeting.

You've alway had to pay to skip ads, although it was included free of charge at the time.  So nothing has changed in that respect.

I like the add skipping, especially when you "watch from start" you can skip up until you get to the Live part of the program.

I also have Virgin Stream box, it's faster than Sky Stream, picture not as good though, you can watch from start on bbc, ch5, Quest & other channels but not itv or Ch4, but you don't pay anything for the skipping through adverts

It's annoying that in series 4 of Banshee that the ads randomly come in cutting off dialogue or action sequences ....didn't happen in season 1-3
