Add more Apps Support Independent
The puck is great however the limit on apps sucks. I love apps such as Nebula and Curiosity Stream. They give a lot of good content and help indipendant creators. You should make it so this and similar apps can be installed so the sky stream is the one for all TV.

@Lddiamond Like Sky Q Stream & Glass are closed system. It is up to the app owners to want their apps on the platform, Sky cannot unilateraly add other companies apps without any agreement in place, perhaps you need to direct your query to the app owners themsleves?

Re: Add more Apps Support Independent
Remember that Sky is an expensive subscription platform, which means that their subscribers expect comprehensive telephone and website support for all hosted apps. This has a really high cost to Sky and so they are extremely unlikely ever to have an open app store or to make hosting arrangements with app owners who can't offer a significant financial contribution to ongoing overheads: it's just not the same business model as other television/appliance manufacturers or mobile platform curators who simply pass that responsibility to app creators, or deny it entirely.

Also its unlikely to be economically viable for a lot of app developers to develop and support their apps purely for Sky's devices which have their own unqiue operating systems. Typically thats why the available apps currently tend to be apps belonging to other broadcasters who have relationships and tend to work quite closely with Sky.

Re: Add more Apps Support Independent
@Lddiamond Other posters have already explained the situation but if you are using a Stream Puck could you not download the missing Apps to your TV?

Re: Add more Apps Support Independent
Or Roku / Fire devices carry most apps and are good backup when the Puck has issues?
