Activate used Sky glass with Puck

Hi. I bought a 55 sky glass along with a puck from a person locally who had cancelled his subscription. Everything was good as everything was boxed with nothing missing. Everything looked good until I tried to activate but no joy. I already have 2 pucks registered to me and thought activate new device would work but nothing. The seller has contacted sky and has been told the devices are no longer registered to his account. I have done factory resets and Power on software updates. By phone sky team just tell me to do the same thing and on 3 occasions  have been told they will call back and never do. I have also been told that there is no reason it shouldn't activate and have been told that sky doesn't assist with second hand activation. I'm reaching out on here now as it appears I have bought a rather large door stop. The information from sky team is different depending who you speak to and have quoted information from other posts on here for them to then clarify. Hopefully someone on here can help. Thanks

@JATINDER.SEHMI I assume Sky talked. You through the process explained here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/buying-sky-glass-second-hand?

If so and the set will not connect the normal system is the issuue is referred to a back office function who can try to sort this for you. This normally takes 2 to 3 days and doesn't always work. If you have allowed that time and are still stuck call Sky and ask if they can swap the TV for a used one from their stock which has happenned before.
