AV Sync on Sky Own Content UHD (Cinema/Atlantic/One etc)

Basically I've been having lip sync/AV sync issues since I got Sky Stream - particularly with on demand content (supposedly one of the big selling points of these devices...). I've spent weeks trying to work this out and finally narrowed it down. It's not my TV, it's not my soundbar. It is 100% the pucks.

In summary, the technology Sky is using to deliver its own content on demand (Cinema/Atlantic/One etc) does not sync the Audio and Video properly when UHD or UHD + HDR is selected as a format. The pucks (both of my two) are incapable of outputting synced AV at these resolutions in these formats.

The issue occurs on both pucks irrespective of which TV they are plugged into, soundbar or just the TV internal speakers, 4 different HDMI 2.1 cables from different brands. All other inputs into these TVs (top of the line Sonys) such as 4k Blu Ray, PS5, internal TV apps etc are absolutely fine.

Most tellingly that points to the player technology Sky is using is the apps on the stream puck are fine. 4k Dolby Vision content in Netflix is fine, Prime content also fine. Everything points back to the on demand Sky content.

What is being done about this? We pay a premium for access to these formats so I expect them to work perfectly.

Been fobbed off quite a bit with "check your set up", "check your internet". I'm not an idiot and know my way round AV systems and stuff like this better than 99% of people.

@ToadyMcToad

Yup. Part of the reason I got rid of Sky Stream. Lip sync was never consistent.
I'm 25+ years working in the TV industry. The pucks aren't good enough. Good enough for many... but not for me.
