Sky store suddenly stopped working
Hi, I've been watching movies on my sky store app for years, never had a problem until two days ago. Now I get error messages saying the app can't play the content and to try again later. This happens on my iPhone and my iPad. My LGTV now just shows a blue screen and says ' loading' whenever I press play on any movie. My broadband works perfectly, every other streaming app works perfectly, I've tried the hard and soft reset on all 3 devices, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing caches and the biggest problem I have: getting through to a real person at sky store for help. I'm in a pickle, I don't know what else to try and sky seems to be keeping their actual, real help for sky store a big secret. Has anyone else encountered this problem recently? I'm praying that there is a glitch with sky store itself. Anyone got a phone number for sky store because it appears the live chat is on the Fritz too

As this is happening on both an iPad and Iphone have you made sure there are not updates for the app on them ?
Same goes for your LG TV as there was a updated version released this week so not sure if you version needs updating ?
If none of this work something to try is a reboot of your broadband hub at the mains so leave it off for 5 minutes before powering it back up.

Thanks for your reply Caesarome, but as I'm a bit daft, please could you elaborate on what you meant by a new update being released this week? Was this update for the sky store app on LG or was it for the LGTV itself? Sorry to be so dumb, only I've already tried to get the latest sky store app on all 3 devices and it didn't help.

Hi @Natalie57 There was an update for many LGTVs around a week ago
if you go to your LG settings, all
settings, then (on mine at least) there is a section at the bottom called Support
In there you should see if there is a software update available for the TV
Several but not all LG customers were experiencing problems with Skystore till about a week ago and for many the update resolved it.
With your problem also affecting other devices though, I like @caesarome suggestion to also reboot your router.

ive updated my LGTV to the latest software and rebooted my Sky broadband, I've cleared the cache memory on my telly and uninstalled and reinstalled the app- still having the same problem. I desperately tried to get hold of someone at Skystore, ended up saying I had a broadband problem and then being transferred to the technical department. They couldn't put me through to the right department but said someone would call me back, I'm still waiting ..................
think I'm going to have to cut my losses and just get a chromecast gadget. Sky don't seem to care much about Sky store anymore.
