If you want to watch it via your Sky+ box then it has to be rented via it which will mean you will need to pay for it again.

If you happen to have a recent LG TV you can use the built in Skystore app to view it on your TV. Also - providing it's not a premiere rental you should be able to use a Chromecast (if you have one) to watch on TV.
It might just be worth asking the Skystore team for a goodwill refund if watching online is not suitable for you - to ask if they will refund and let you rent on your box. They open at 11am - livechat usually works well
