Can't watch films from Sky Store (HDCP error)

Hi,

I'm having an issue watching a film I bought from sky store.
If I attempt to load it on my computer I get a message stating "This video can only be played on displays that support HDCP, please disonnect any external cables and try again."
I currently have two monitors both connected via DVI (though one is a attached to a DVI to a VGA converter). It seems really off that I have to disconnect a monitor from my computer to watch a film. No other system requires this. Oddly this isn't a HD issue as I've downloaded the SD version and I still get the same issue.
This issue persists if I am trying to watch it via browser or the Sky Store.

I've also tried to load the film via NowTV, but I can't seem to see the film even coming up if I do a search (note I don't have a NowTV subscription anymore).

What is going on? I watch films using Netflix, Prime and Now TV and have never had this issue. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks for any response.

Just set the display settings to only display on 1 screen.

Still a problem. HDMI out from laptop to TV. Selected 50Hz to fit picture. Selected show only 2nd screen. Still get same error message.Again netflix, Apple, VLC all work happily. Not sky store.

Yup.

I literally had to disconnect the second monitor entirely from the computer case for it to work

Re: Can't watch films from Sky Store (HDCP error)

Going to be tricky with a laptop. I read in another post to switch them both off. Turn TV on first then boot computer to allow hdcp handshake to take place. To be fair it allowed 5 seconds of play back but then same error. Which suggestrd it might be harware. So I've tried different hdmi cable and different TV (although still Samsung) no luck. I've used hdmi on laptop before with no problems.Seems likely to be a sky store issue.

I'm using Steam Link to connect my computer to the TV rather than direct visual, if that makes it easier.

I think most TVs now have a steam link app.
