temporary freeze/hold on account
We are moving out of our home to a rented property for 5 months while building work is undertaken. i canot take Sky tv or broadband with us as not allowed ( we have to have Virgin only). Can I put a temporary hold on my sky services for these 5 months until we return to our property so that I dont have to pay for 5 months worth of services that I will not be able to receive?

Re: temporary freeze/hold on account
@Beardy+Weirdo I'm afraid Sky don't put holds on account or freeze them in these scenarios.
If you're not in a discounted/minimum term cancelling may be the only option. But you'll need to return all Q equipment.

Unfortunately I don't think SKY allows this

Re: temporary freeze/hold on account
@Beardy+Weirdo Hi, It is mid August now, we are in a similar situation. Hopefully your renovation is going smoothly? Did you find a solution to this problem? We have been with sky over 25 years, so I am reluctant to wholly cancel our account. My husband has cognitive issues so learning a whole new TV system (virgin/freeview etc) is not an option. We will 'reinstall' our package in 6 months but with the costs of a rental property as well as our home, we cannot afford to simply pay and waste the monthly package. I would appreciate any hints or tips! Thanks in advance.

Re: temporary freeze/hold on account
The advise to the original post are still correct. All you can do is contact Sky, explain your circumstances and see what they can do to reduce your package to the absolute minimum for the duration of the work.
