We are moving out of our home to a rented property for 5 months while building work is undertaken. i canot take Sky tv or broadband with us as not allowed ( we have to have Virgin only). Can I put a temporary hold on my sky services for these 5 months until we return to our property so that I dont have to pay for 5 months worth of services that I will not be able to receive?

If you're not in a discounted/minimum term cancelling may be the only option. But you'll need to return all Q equipment.

Unfortunately I don't think SKY allows this

@Beardy+Weirdo Hi, It is mid August now, we are in a similar situation. Hopefully your renovation is going smoothly? Did you find a solution to this problem? We have been with sky over 25 years, so I am reluctant to wholly cancel our account. My husband has cognitive issues so learning a whole new TV system (virgin/freeview etc) is not an option. We will 'reinstall' our package in 6 months but with the costs of a rental property as well as our home, we cannot afford to simply pay and waste the monthly package. I would appreciate any hints or tips! Thanks in advance.
