Re: system not working, but 4-5 day wait for engineer
With Comcast pushing for TV viewing via Glass and Stream a number of satellite engineers were made redundant in the last year or so. This has obviously impacted appointment times in some areas.

Re: system not working, but 4-5 day wait for engineer
I guessed that was the reason for slow service, my options are to pay early termination charges and move to another service or just wait until contract ends and then it will be goodbye sky after 25years

hi @rob58m
I feel I must point out that even when there were many more engineers, appointments were rarely less than 4 days & often a week or more.
In more recent times, and especially after storms etc, it is not uncommon to have waits of more than a week & even 2-3 weeks

A 4 day wait for an engineer is very good for any isp's and can be far longer than that.
Perhaps more details about the fault and what you've tried to resolve it, ie have you power recycled the box, any messages on the screen, lights on the front panel?
You can request a replacement box and set it up yourself.

thats quick the 4-5 days. recently sky+hd stopped working ( dish was very rusty etc ) phoned tue 16 sep to upgrade to sky q, 1st appt was friday 3 oct !
got a cracking price and was advised to phone back after the 3rd to request loss of service compensation ( got around half the bill refunded )
