sky Q

I have been offered sky q at no extra cost every month and no set up fee I only have a single feed coming from the dish will it on sky q as i been told a while back from  a sky enginee that a single feed connection wont work on sky q can anyone help as I would take up the offer as at the moment I have Sky HD and is working fine ??

hi @phil4600 

 

If you have your own dish then SKY Q does need 2 cables (usually a twin cable) - if you take up the offer the engineer will replace your existing cable with a twin cable as part of the change over - they also change the LNB (the electronic bit on the dish) so this should  not be a problem 

 

You may, also, like to read some notes I have put together for people condiering moving from SKY HD to Q

in which case a single cable is fine - the engineer may need access to the communal distrbution system to add an 'adapter'

@phil4600Often these special offers include an early Q box which will not show UHD, if this is important to you check which box you are getting and possibly have to pay for an upgrade if you want to watch in UHD.
