no wifi on sky q mini box

my sky q mini box  doesnt connect to the main sky q  box without me having to  reboot the main box and then it still states theres no internet on the mini box  when i search for recordings on the  mini box theres nothing there can i connect a ethernet cable between my sky q  mini box and my sky q router without it interferring with other wifi products in my house

Hi @stephen+muller 

Yes you connect the mini by Ethernet to your main Q box.

Also if you are on Sky Broadband and have the normal black non fibre router you can also connect your mini to that.

Either by WPS or Ethernet.
If you are not on Sky Broadband and you connect your mini by Ethernet to your main Q box it's best to turn off all WiFi on the mini.

Procede as follows
Carry out a network reset on mini in the Mini Home menu with the Ethernet connected. Do not do any WPS and just wait for it to connect.
Once it is connected go immediately into the mini hidden menu  and turn off both bands of WiFi.

To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Go to Network to turn off both bands of WiFi. Confirm before exit.

Why do you think it might interfere with other wifi devices? Are they using the sky boxes as extenders?

@Lizmayes Have you tried rebooting your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions

then

rebooting your mini box
