finds wi-fi but no connection

i Can't get a wired or wifi connection at all from my Sky Q box - it finds the WIFI network but won't connect and the Wired option fails to acquire an IP address

I've tried resetting everything in different orders but to no avail

We have virgin media broadband and are running between 200/500GB. Every device in the household including my company laptop, tablet and phone are connected so this isn't a virgin broadband issue.

 

This is also a new 1TB box, less than 6 months old plus i also have a sky multi room box upstairs so this obviously isn't working either

Hi @sharonm56 

Assume you are carrying out a Network reset on the main Q box.

Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to non Sky router.

As you are on 3rd party (non Sky ) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band.
