Re: does the sky essentials package support multiroom

Well....

This is diappointing as I was only told a few days ago by a SKY retention employee over the phone, that you can keep Sky Multi-Room with Sky Essentials.

Even quoted me the price for both elements.

Has it now changed and it is possible ?

@shadesf The answer was given back in last year when it was not possible It appears that this has changed and Sky do allow you to have multiscreen with essentials but they still charge you the multiscreen subscription

I have seen 1 post where someone has multiscreen on essentials and have had it confirmed in a closed part of the forum that you can now do this

I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

Re: does the sky essentials package support multiroom

I am thinking of going on to Essentials in December when my 18 month contract ends in December. Currently I pay £42.50 a month for everything plus UHD and Multiroom bar Cinema and Sports. Assume this will go up over £70 and unlikely to get a decent discount anymore.

I have realised I don't watch anything on the Sky channels and just watch and record the free to air channels. The reason to keep Sky Q going is the multiroom function and have 3 mini boxes (I know you can only watch 2 at once)  can anyone who has Essentials confirm that you can still have multiroom and  if so is it £15 for Essentials plus £15 to maintain the multiroom access ?

Re: does the sky essentials package support multiroom

The sky website is a bit vague on the use of Sky Go with the Essentials pack. "You'll also benefit from limited access to Sky Go, so you can enjoy free to air content on the move."

What do they mean by "Limited" access? Simply that you only get the free to air channels to watch live and not recordings from the Q box ?

@DuncanBmth

Presumably it's meant to indicate that only the free to air broadcast channels (minus the BBC) will be available in Go.
