Won’t remember password from a different provider

Swapped broadband provider from sky to EE. Set up of new router was easy enough. Everything working, however, every day I have to re enter the EE router password into the Sky tv remote or you can't stream tv. Any ideas on how to prevent the need to keep entering these details daily?

We are having the same issue. Frustrating in the exteme. I've asked our broadband provider if they have any suggestions then I'll contact Sky and threaten to cancel as they are not providing a satisfactory product.

@Elaine160 @Spotthedog  Did you do a full network reset on the Sky Q menu after you changed broadband providers?

I am just another Sky customer!

Home > Settings > Setup > Network > Status and select Reset

Choose Connect to a router from another provider.
Select Connect using Wi-Fi.
Find your EE Wi-Fi network name from the list.
Enter your EE Wi-Fi password (found on your router card).

I would also turn off Eco mode on the Q box under 'Preferences' as it turns off power to the internal network card, otherwise it can lose connection to the EE router.

Done all that already. When so many other devices never lose connection I have been reluctant to turn the router off and on again but did that yesterday and do far everything has remained connected. I'm not willing to do a reset on the router for an issue is obviously unique to Sky!

Rebooting the router shouldn't cause any device to lose the connection details. If you're replying to me then I never mentioned resetting the router.

I realise you hadn't mentioned it but others had so I was just adding the extra information. It's losing the configurations of the router that I didn't want as they had changed from factory.
