Why does Sky hate EERO routers?

Hi

I get my boadband from talktalk, dont want all the eggs in one basket, every couple of days I get the message that SkyQ isnt connected to the internet, then have to go through the pain of reconecting, using multi room means having to do this twice once per Sky box.

I got fed up a few months ago, phoned Sky and they booked an engineer visit. Not one but TWO engineers turned up, to tell me that its a common fault if using an EERO router as Sky haven't sorted out the connectivity between the two!

Surely in 2025 this shouldn't be happening at all, let alone every few days?

Can anyone offer a solution at all please?

Use Ethernet.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Have a look at power line adaptors.

Hi @John1958-2019   Ethernet using your home wiring, plug one in near your router and plug one in near your Sky Q box. Search Google for examples etc.
