Which is best Sky Essentials or Sky Stream. Need multi-room viewing

I need to reduce my current £94 a month bill and am struggling to get to grips with what's available.  I will need multi room viewing . Am I correct?

Stream = Via Internet and no recording

Essentails = Via Dish with recording

Many Thanks

Hi @Nia5

Correct what you say above.

However I doubt that there will be a great difference in costs between Q and Stream unless you substantially reduce your package content.

Sky Essentials is cheaper but again a big reduction in content.

Edit.  Not sure if Multiscreen is available with Essentials.

Best to speak direct to Sky to see what options you want and see if you can negotiate a deal.

Pretty sure you can now get a multiroom addon for essentials.

@Nia5

By definition, Essentials is worth considering if you don't value the content on the subscription channels.

At that point it's also important to decide if paying Sky a monthly fee just for recording and playback functionality is actually worth.

Hi @Chodley

Cannot see that this clearly stated anywhere .

Legal bit in Sky Q still states

Multiscreen: £15 per month. Requires Sky Q box, Sky Signature and Multiscreen subscriptions and Sky Q Mini(s) connected to home broadband. For optimal network performance we recommend connecting no more than four Sky Q Mini boxes. Watch on 2 Sky Q Mini boxes simultaneously with a Sky Q 2TB box and on one Sky Q Mini with a Sky Q 1TB box.

Also repeats

Multiscreen Offer: Additional TV Viewing Fee: £0 for first additional TV; £20 thereafter for each additional TV. Offer not available with any other offers. View on one additional TV for free when you enter into new 24 month minimum terms for Sky Signature (£31 per month (pm)) and Sky Multiscreen (£15pm). Requires Sky Q box, Sky Signature and Sky Multiscreen subscription, and Sky Q Mini connected to home broadband.

Others on here have said they've got it but maybe it's not a standard offering
